And why should you check out the new 2024 Chevrolet Equinox at Banks Auto in Concord, New Hampshire? Let’s find out!

Performance and efficiency
Regardless of trim, every 2024 Chevy Equinox is powered by the same 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It uses variable valve timing and direct injection technology to develop a healthy 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque, which is sent by default to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. Though it’s an automatic, it can be electronically shifted via overdrive and Driver Shift Control feature, giving you more control over your drive.
Every Equinox trim can also be optioned with a switchable all-wheel-drive system, enabling you to get the extra traction you need in poor weather or on low-grip surfaces, without compromising your fuel efficiency the rest of the time. Overall, the Equinox rides smoothly and, thanks to technologies like automatic stop/start, earns an EPA-estimated 26 mpg city/31 mpg highway.[2] It can also tow up to 3,500 pounds.
Interior comfort and space
The new Chevrolet Equinox features a well-appointed cabin with soft-touch materials, tasteful contemporary designs, generous passenger space, and plenty of amenities to keep everyone comfortable. There are lots of cup holders, 40 inches of legroom in the rear, and 40 inches of head room in the front. Behind the second row, the Equinox can fit up to 29.9 cubic feet of cargo, enough to fit about eight carry-on suitcases. This grows to 63.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded flag, making the Equinox more than suitable for big shopping or camping trips.
There’s also plenty of comfort and convenience for occupants beyond spaciousness. Every Equinox features standard Active Noise Cancellation, carpeted floor mats, power windows, 12-volt power outlets, and keyless open and start. Most Equinox models also have dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated front seats. For even more luxury, the Premier is available with ventilated front seats and heated rear seats, memory settings, and a power tilt-sliding sunroof.
Infotainment technology
Every 2024 Chevy Equinox uses the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, which has impressive response times and is remarkably easy to use. It runs on a 7-inch touch-screen display on the LS, LT, and RS, and on an 8-inch touch screen on the Premier. It comes with standard Bluetooth® audio streaming for two devices simultaneously, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity, and voice command pass-through to compatible phones. Additional optional features offered at all trim levels but the LS include Alexa Built-In, enhanced voice recognition capability, built-in navigation, and in-vehicle apps.
Every Equinox also features at least one Type-A and one Type-C USB port, an available high-speed Wi-Fi hotspot that can connect up to seven devices to the internet, and a 6-speaker sound system. The latter can be upgraded to a 7-speaker Bose® premium audio setup on the RS and Premier. The Equinox Premier also gets standard wireless device charging.
Safety and driver assistance
Via the standard Chevy Safety Assist suite, all new Equinox models come with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keeping assistance with lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. All Equinoxes also have eight airbags, LATCH anchors for child seats, Teen Driver technology, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Additional safety features are available for those seeking extra peace of mind, such as rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and an HD Surround Vision rearview camera. Front and rear parking assistance is also available, and on the Premier, Automatic Parking Assist can get you into those tricky spots with ease.
Special edition models
You can make your Equinox stand out even more with special edition models including the Equinox Midnight Edition and Equinox Redline Edition. The Midnight Edition, available on the LS, features gloss black aluminum wheels, blackwall tires, black emblems, and a unique black grille. The Redline Edition, available on the Premier, combines blacked-out elements with red highlights and Black Ice accents and comes with standard 19-inch wheels. These special designs turn the already handsome Equinox into a genuine head-turner.
