2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 | Concord, NH

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado is a capable and dependable full-size pickup truck that can meet all of your needs. There’s a lot to take in, so grab a drink, get comfy, and dig in!

What’s new for 2023?

For the 2023 model year, the Chevy Silverado 1500 gets a few notable changes, chief of which is a power upgrade for the Duramax® turbodiesel engine. It now generates 28 more horsepower and 35 more lb-ft of torque than the outgoing model thanks to new fuel injectors, a re-tuned turbocharger, and new pistons. The Silverado 1500 also gets several new paint options to show off your style and protective film to keep it safe.

Four powerful engines

The latest Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is offered with four powerful engines. A turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder is standard. It’s rated at 310 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, which goes to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. A four-wheel-drive system with a low-speed transfer case is available to enhance traction.

On the Silverado 1500 Work Truck, LT, RST, and Trail Boss, you have the option to upgrade the engine to a 5.3-liter V8 rated at 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. It also comes standard on the Silverado 1500 LTZ and High Country. This engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and has the same FWD and 4WD options as the turbo four-cylinder engine.

Next is where things get fun. Standard on the ZR2 and optional on the RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country is a 6.2-liter V8 that cranks out 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. It comes exclusively with a 10-speed automatic and 4WD, and like the 5.3-liter V8, it has cylinder deactivation technology that can help extend mileage under light loads.

Finally, the Custom Trail Boss, LT, LT Trail Boss, RST, LTZ, and High Country are all offered with the Duramax® turbodiesel 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. It delivers a truly awesome blend of power and efficiency, cranking out 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque at just 1,500 rpm — all while earning up to 29 mpg on the highway.[1]

Awesome towing capability

The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 makes the toughest jobs seem not-so-tough after all. Even the standard and inexpensive four-cylinder engine enables the Chevy truck to tow between 8,900-9,500 pounds, which should be more than enough to meet the average American’s needs. The 5.3-liter V8 pushes maximum towing capacity to 11,300 pounds while both the 6.2-liter V8 and Duramax turbodiesel make it possible for the Silverado 1500 to tow up to 13,300 pounds.[2]

Spacious cab options

The new Silverado 1500 is offered with three cab sizes: Regular, Double, and Crew. With the Regular Cab, you get two full-size front doors and two smaller rear doors. That makes enough space for four passengers while allowing for the longest possible bed. The Double Cab has four full-size doors, enhancing space and ease of entry/exit for rear passengers. Finally, the Crew Cab is even larger, with more second-row space that your family will appreciate.

Premium interior comfort

The 2023 Silverado 1500 treats you and your family to a comfortable cabin with premium features. It has many standard and optional amenities that make the daily commute more enjoyable, such as dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-trimmed seats with heating and ventilation, and open-pore wood trim. The Silverado High Country is extra luxurious and comes with features like perforated custom leather and exclusive stitching patterns.

Infotainment and connectivity

The majority of new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trucks have a 13.4-inch high-resolution touch-screen infotainment system that includes wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone compatibility as well as a 4G LTE Wi-Fi® hotspot that can connect up to seven devices to the internet. That’s on top of numerous convenience-enhancing technologies like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility, as well as a bombastic BOSE® sound system.

Hands-free driving technology

For the first time, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country is available with GM’s legendary Super Cruise™ hands-free driving technology. This allows the truck to accelerate, brake, and even steer autonomously on more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads in North America. Every Silverado 1500 also gets automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, and a wide array of trailering technologies. These include trailer sway control and up to 14 different camera views, even to see inside or through the trailer.

Versatile bed and tailgate

You can choose between three bed sizes for your Silverado truck: Short, Standard, and Long. These are 69.9, 79.4, and 98.2 inches long, respectively, and have a volume of 62.9, 71.7, and 89.1 cubic feet. The beds use high-strength roll-formed steel for greater durability and resistance to scratches. They also come with LED cargo area and perimeter lighting as well as 12 standard tie-downs, just the tools you need to attach items and work those late evenings.

Truck owners will also love the optional Multi-Flex Tailgate, a kind of Swiss Knife of tailgates that can be configured in six different ways. Set it up as a workbench, a full-width bed step, a load helper that supports 375 pounds, or an inner or outer load stop. Or just use it like any regular tailgate that you can open and close with the key fob.

Rugged off-road performance

Going somewhere remote? The Silverado 1500 ZR2 makes it remarkably easy. It has all the off-road toys you could dream of, like standard 33-inch Goodyear® Wrangler Territory® Mud Terrain tires or Multimatic™ DSSV dampers. That’s on top of a lift kit, uniquely cut front bumper, and underbody skid plates to protect your truck from nasty rocks and boulders. New for 2023 is the ZR2 Bison, built in collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles, which adds exclusive designs and front tow hooks.

Even after all of that, there’s still so much to learn about the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Visit Banks Auto in Concord, New Hampshire, to get a closer look at the Silverado 1500, get behind the wheel, and go on a test drive!
