The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is the first-ever fully electric version of the iconic Silverado truck. Packing tons of power, innovative tech, and the performance you expect into a Chevy pickup, the new Silverado EV is designed to make driving in Concord, New Hampshire, more convenient and fuel-efficient. Here’s a look at what you can expect on the Silverado electric truck when it arrives at Banks Autos.
The Silverado EV will be built on the automaker’s new Ultium Platform, which will be the basis for the brand’s entire electric lineup. The ultra-versatile Ultium Platform includes a modular propulsion system that allows battery packs to be installed in various configurations.
This means that Chevy doesn’t need to compromise on the form and function of the Silverado EV to install the number of batteries needed to be as powerful as the gas-powered Silverado is. The Silverado EV is designed to have the same outstanding towing and hauling capacity as the gas version.
The 2024 Silverado EV will be able to charge on a standard 120-volt outlet, a more powerful 240-volt, or the DC fast-charging stations you can stop at when you’re traveling across New England. Chevy estimates that the Silverado EV has a 400-mile range on a full charge, and a 10-minute stop at a DC public fast-charging station can recover up to 100 miles of charge. [1]
Thanks to the combined power of the electric motors and the Ultium batteries, the Silverado EV will deliver serious power. Chevy estimates that the Silverado will yield over 660 horsepower and over 780 lb-ft of torque. This incredible performance will allow the Silverado EV to go from 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.
The 2024 Silverado EV RST will be able to tow up to 10,000 pounds, which is plenty of muscle for your workday or weekend trip to the Atlantic Ocean. And, Chevrolet says that future WT models will be able to tow up to 20,000 pounds, making it a great fleet truck for businesses in New Hampshire.
The Silverado EV will come with the unique Multi-Flex Midgate, which lets you expand the bed’s cargo space into the cab of the truck when the second-row seats are folded down. The seats even have 60/40-split seating, so you can use the extra length and still have an extra passenger seat.
The popular Multi-Flex tailgate is available on the Silverado EV, offering six configurations like load stops that let you increase the height and length of your cargo, a mobile work station, and a section that folds down flat to use as a step. With the Multi-Flex Midgate and the increased load stops, you can fit items up to 9 feet long in the Silverado EV bed.
And don’t forget about the frunk! With no engine taking up space under the hood, the front end of the Silverado EV is a spacious front trunk that lets you lock up cargo out of sight.
The Silverado EV is loaded with standard safety and driver-assist technology that take the stress out of your ride in Concord. Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning all help you stay alert on the road and avoid accidents.
The new Silverado EV is also loaded with tech you’ll love. The huge 17-inch digital screen gives you easy access to apps, and Google Built-in lets you use Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Play Store. The Silverado EV will come with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, so you can sync your phone to the infotainment system and access your favorite apps for streaming and messaging.
The 2024 Silverado EV will be available to buy in 2023. The WT model will come in spring 2023, while the RST won’t debut until the fall. More trim levels will be available in the future. Contact Banks Autos to learn how you can pre-order the Silverado EV.
